Ang sarap ng ihip ng hangin sa may tabing dagat. Ako ay naglalakad habang ang musika ng alon ay tumutugon sa mga munimuni ng aking isip. Dama ko ang buhangin at tubig sa aking mga paa at ninanamnam ang mga sandali.

Ang ganda tingnan ng mga batong inalon sa may bukana. Iba’t ibang hugis at kulay. May pula, itim, puti, berde, bughaw,may parisukat, may bilog, may tatsulok at iba pa. Namulot ako para souvenir.

Naku, napakasarap damhin ang kakaibang simoy ng hangin na dala ng kalawakan ng dagat. Kung pwede lang sanang dumito na lagi. Ito ang isa sa aking mga hiling na sana ay dito sa may tabing dagat ako manirahan pag dating ng panahon.

Pero isa lamang itong bakasyon sa pang araw-araw na buhay. Ang aking pamilya ay dumayo dito sa California at naparaan dito sa may San Simeon at nakalanghap ng sariwang hangin. Bumisita kami sa Hearst Castle at nagpalipas ng gabi na rito sa may kabayanan.

Naguumpisa pa lang araw….ano kaya ang nakalaan para sa amin?

Lazarus’ 1st part of his series on his father’s tales shows how much he has listened to his father. And how he adores his 6th sense? And he has listened well! Follow the links from his post and be transported to the tales of his father. What a great collection to share with his kids as well. Thanks for letting me take a glimpse of your father’s tales Lazarus.

Gina writes fondly about her well groomed Papa and recalls great times with him. Her father is now regaining his strength back after a mild stroke 4 years ago. I am sure he loves seeing and talking to you in the webcam Gina. Thank God for technology huh? And will pray for his continured recovery.

Manilenya recalls the celebration of Father’s Day with her Tatay and how he tried to disclaim the day as simply another day. I myself dont remember celebrating Father’s Day in the Philippines when I was growing up. Come to think of it, even mother’s day. I guess, it wasn’t part of the Pinoy upbringing in my times . It is only now that this western tradition has been to its full bloom in Pinas, right? At any rate, Manilenya treated her Tatay out and I’m sure he had a wonderful day spending time with the family.

I always thought that my father has a big heart! Why, because even he has nothing left he always has a manner of helping even in his own little way be it for family, friends, neighbors or just for a simple stranger.

And then Maldito connects us to his innermost feelings about his last moments with his dad. You have to read it and be touched of how much he has really missed his father. What a tough life you’ve had growing without a father. I’m sure wherever your father is, he is smiling as he reads your Father’s Day tribute to him.

Here are the rules:

Post a photo of your baby with her first ever favorite/comfort toy. Write some details of your fondest memory of your baby and her toy (like what I did below). This will make a good memento when your baby grows up!

My daughter loves her little pink teddy. She’s had it since she was born and got attached to it when she learnt to hold on to things. It was a permanent fixture in her daily routines. Its like a comfort blankie. My hubby and I were always worried that she might lose it one day since this little bear goes everywhere she goes. We even attempted to buy one exactly like it so we can wash it once it a while withoout her knowing about it. Unfortunately, we could not find one like it anymore. I guess , that bear has been discontinued.

Through the years, poor bear’s arm has been bitten and chewed. It had so many adventures, it’s been washed, misplaced, sewn, operated on (re-fluffed) , been on trips, sleep overs and continues to be a bedtime partner to this day.
